Website Services

All of our website packages include web hosting. This means that your site will reside on our servers and will require a nominal yearly or monthly hosting fee. This fee will depend on the scope of your web project. Software upgrades are included in this fee.

Most packages will include a yearly domain fee. If you don’t wish to purchase a domain name for your project, your website url will take the form of “mysite.twistofancy.com”. Yearly domain fees are $8. There is no domain charge if you do not choose to buy a domain.

Choose from these options:

• Basic Site: Simple set up with basic html. Mainly just an advertisement about yourself or your product. Can be expanded later.

• Starter Site: A standard install with a basic template. Can contain information about yourself, your business, your products and contact information. Minimal updates. Can be upgraded as your needs change.
• Midlevel Site: A standard install with template customization. Moderate Updates. Can be upgraded as your needs change.
• Premium Site: Includes template customization, extra functionality, frequent updates. Highly upgradeable.
• Web-store Lite: A basic webstore using WordPress plugins and features. You provide photos and text for your products and we create your storefront. Particularly suited for crafters and musicians.
• Web-store Mega: A stand alone web store that can hold thousands of products. We can set it up and let you take it from there, or you provide the text and photos and we build your store.
• Web-store Assistance: Do you want to get into the world of Print on Demand or Amazon.com sales but don’t know where to start? Start with WebCenter!
• UnBlog: Enjoy writing about things but don’t want to deal with all that fiddly blogging setup and maintenance? This is for you. We set up your blog, tweak the templates, and you just provide text files and or pictures for your content. It’s like a blogging dictaphone!
• Don’t see what you had in mind? Contact us with your ideas and we’ll work to achieve your online goals.

Publishing Services

Publishing services will all include downloadable files that will be compatible with your computer and with a commercial printing company if you are using one. Print files will be provided in high quality, print-ready PDF files. Manuscript files will be provided as either text files, formatted files or PDF files, depending on the service you choose.

Choose from these options:

• Manuscript Service A: Input your manuscript from a handwritten or typewritten text.

• Manuscript Service B: Proofread your manuscript files and prepare them for submission to publishers.
• Book Production: Professional typesetting of your manuscript into book or booklet form in preparation for self-publishing via a Print on Demand service. We will work with you to choose the right PoD for you and get your book uploaded. (See Web Services for promotion avenues for your book or project)
• Brochure A: tri- or bi-fold, double-sided. You provide text and artwork
• Brochure B: tri- or bi-fold, double-sided. We write text from your outline.
• Flyer A: double-sided. You provide text and artwork
• Flyer B: double-sided. We write text from your outline.
• CD Insert A: Single sheet insert, double sided.
• CD Insert B: 4, 8, 12, or 16 page CD booklet using your artwork and text.
• CD Insert C: 4, 8, 12, or 16 page CD booklet where we write the text from your outline.
• CD envelope: A foldable envelope that can be used to hold presentation or portfolio CDs. The envelopes can be printed out on your home printer and folded as needed.
• Resume: Professionally typeset resume from your notes. Includes editing and suggestions.
• Business Cards A: Design and typeset business cards. We provide a file that you can use to print on blank cards at home, or take to a professional printer.
  Business Cards B: Design and prepare business cards that you can order from our PoD provider. You will receive professionally printed cards in the quantities you choose.

• Postcard A: Professionally typeset postcards that you can use either as mailers or as inserts. Cards can have traditional “postcard” backs or have your text and artwork on both sides. Can be printed at home on blank postcards or taken to a pro printer.
• Postcard B: A value option. We design your postcards and you may then order them from our PoD provider in the quantities you need.
• Newsletter A: Typeset and prepare your monthly, quarterly, or annual newsletter from your text files and artwork. We provide files and instructions for printing at home, as well as files for commercial print shops.
• Newsletter B: Write, typeset and prepare your monthly, quarterly or annual newsletter from your outlines and notes. Print at home or use a commercial printer.

WebCenter approaches your project more from a customer point of view than from a designer point of view. Yes, we could put tons of flashing graphics and moving pictures and whirlygigs, but you just don’t need them. The fact is, if your content is good, your visitors will stay. Sites that try to hold your attention with gimmicks are also trying to divert your attention from lack of real content.

WebCenter operates on the “less is more” premise. We concentrate on showcasing your product to best advantage. Whether you’re promoting a book, a craft, some music, or just yourself, the focus will always be to show it to best advantage. This means that we understand that not everyone has the most powerful computer at home and not everyone is on the fastest cable hookup. The websites we create for you will be viewable across as many platforms as possible while still looking professional and up-to-date. So the guy using dial-up can have the same experience as the person using the latest high speed.

WebCenter likes to look at the big picture. Our sites are built for longevity. Down the road if your style changes or your focus changes, your site can change right along with you. Things can be added and taken away with a minimum of muss and fuss. Often your visitors will never realize construction is taking place until they see the new look and feel.

WebCenter strives to be responsive. Email any time, day or night, and we try to get back to you within 24 hours, usually MUCH sooner. Tech problems are addressed immediately, and changes and updates are performed within the schedule agreed upon with your package.

WebCenter wants to work within your budget and still allow you to have a professional website or product. Websites will have a set yearly or monthly hosting fee, and if you buy your own domain (ie MyName.com) that will be a set yearly fee. After that, all prices depend on the level of work that you want us to do for you. We can set it and forget it, or we can do daily, weekly or monthly maintenance and updates.

Once you have contacted us with the level of work you’d like, we will give you a quote, usually with a couple of variations. If your budget is very small, you can start with a basic web presence now and then purchase more services later. Ala Carte or Package Deal, it’s up to you!

Our web creation prices are reasonable because we chose not to reinvent the wheel. Most of our websites are built with the WordPress platform. While many might recognize that as a blogging software, it is also a powerful website builder with the use of add ons. Since WordPress is open source software, it is flexible, easy to use, and free. This allows us to concentrate on the design, function and population of your website without spending massive time on coding.

Once you have decided on the package and pricing, payment is made using PayPal. PayPal is fast, easy and most of all secure. You can use your credit card with PayPal in a secure environment. We will never see your financial details. You can now use PayPal to pay, even without having a PayPal account.

We will require a 25% down payment up front to begin work on your project. Once the project is completed, the balance will be due within five days. Monthly hosting and maintenance fees will be due on the 15th of each month. Yearly domain registration fees will be due in the month your site was contracted.

WebCenter can provide you with a variety of services. In addition to the main focus, web site setup, other services include: brochure and promotional pieces design and typesetting, writing, and manuscript typing. Our services are suitable for anyone, but particularly for writers, crafters, artists and other creative arts endeavors.

Web Presence
WebCenter can get you up and running on the internet in very little time. These days, having a web presence is a must. Many people are more inclined to use a company or service if they can find them on the internet first. WebCenter offers fully hosted websites on our servers. They are built on the WordPress platform which is an extremely powerful yet easy to use system. You can have as much or as little involvement in your website as you like. Promotional Pieces Design and Typesetting
Thirty years of typesetting and pre-press production experience make us qualified to produce quality files for quality printing. WebCenter does not do the actual printing, but we structure our files so that they can easily be printed on a home printer with great result. If you use a commercial printer, our files are easily used in that environment.

Promotional pieces might include: brochures, post cards, flyers, insert cards, business cards, CD inserts and mailers

Manuscript Services
While most people already use a computer to type their manuscripts, there are still some who prefer a typewriter or pen and paper. If you have a manuscript that needs computerizing, call on us. We can simply type a basic text file or we can format it for submission to publishers. We can even offer basic editing services like spell-check and punctuation repair.

If you are planning to self-publish your manuscript using one of the many Print on Demand (POD) companies, we can professionally typeset your book and make your publication a cut above the rest.

Writing
We have published articles under our belt, and have produced promotional packages for various clients. If you need press releases written, or the ad copy for your fliers and brochures, WebCenter can help with that.
